When Baxter O’Hara Building began in 1998 we had a clear strategy to build a company that would be a leader in design and construction, with no barriers to its growth. This strategy is on track, with annual turnover increasing by up to 40 per cent. The company has long been delivering multi-million projects and we are now are advancing into much larger developments.

What has remained constant, however, is our ability to deliver projects efficiently and cost-effectively. More often than not, we also add value to the final product through smart design and innovative construction methods.

We pursue environmentally sustainable construction practices, encompassing both our business and project strategies.

Sealing this successful approach, is our ability to work in concert with the client and all those tasked with delivering a project.

We are also an engaged industry participant, as a member of several representative bodies, including the Master Buildiers Association NSW, the Australian Institute of Building and the Green Building Council of Australia. We have achieved strong peer recognition for our achievements, including the 2007 MBA Award for Commercial Projects ($1-2million) and a finalist in the category of Commercial Projects (under $500,000).

Leadership

In 1998 Craig Baxter founded Baxter Building Co. Craig has a proven track record of over 20 years, from starting his own contracting business to an expansive career ranging through property development, project administration, estimating, supervision and contracting he has also has worked with a other builders here in Australia and Overseas. Backing Craig’s solid experience with tertiary qualifications he has a Diploma in Applied Science (Building) 1st Place NSW Stage 2, and a variety of studied application in Project Management, Property Development and OH&S.

In 2005, Sean O’Hara joined as a fellow director enhancing the companies foundations in Project Management & Contract Administration. Since 1994 Sean has gained a wealth of experience in contract administration, property development and senior project management roles. His career has seen him successfully manage construction projects in excess of $50 million with top tier building companies in Sydney and Ireland for credible top tier builders. Backing Sean’s wealth of experience he has a Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) - Hons from Newcastle University.

A non-executive board assists and advises the senior management. The establishment of the Board reflects the level of growth already achieved by Baxter O’Hara Building and our plans for future growth.
